B4 Directorate for bilateral economic relations with South East Europe, Russia, Belarus, the Caucasus and the Black Sea countries, as well as for issues of BSEC (Black Sea Economic Cooperation), is responsible for:
(a) monitoring the bilateral economic and trade relations, in cooperation with the Embassies, Consulates, ECA Offices and other public and private sector bodies and services as well as for submitting proposals for the development of bilateral economic and trade relations with the countries under its responsibility
(b) monitoring the European and international financing and development programs and cooperation programs in the countries of its responsibility,
(f) monitoring and handling cross-border issues, in cooperation with other agencies,
(g) monitoring the regional policies of the countries of its responsibility.
B4 Directorate consists of three (3) Departments:
(a) Department I for Bilateral Economic Relations with countries of Southeast Europe
b) Department II for Bilateral Economic Relations with Russia, Belarus, Caucasus and Black Sea countries
c) Department III Monitoring of BSEC.
Department I is responsible for:
(a) monitoring the bilateral economic and trade relations with Albania, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey
(b) monitoring all sectoral European or international financing and development programs developed in the countries under its responsibility;
c) monitoring the issues of the National Economic Reconstruction Plan for the Balkans
d) monitoring and participating in the Adriatic and Ionian Initiative;
(e) monitoring the European Neighborhood Policy and the economic policy issues of E.U. for the Western Balkans.
Department II is responsible for:
(a) monitoring the bilateral economic and trade relations with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Georgia,
(b) monitoring all sectoral European or international financial and development programs implemented in the countries of its responsibility
(c) monitoring the regional policies of European Union in the countries of its responsibility.
Department III is responsible for monitoring the work of BSEC and participating in meetings / committees of the respective Organization.
